Miami Prepped for NCAA Indoor Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Edgar Campre, Gabriella Grissom and Solomon Strader will represent the University of Miami at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships beginning Friday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Campre will kick off the championships at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the heptathlon beginning with the 60m followed by the long jump, shot put and high jump. Grissom will race in the 800m prelims at 4:20 p.m. as Strader competes in the 400m prelims at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Campre begins at 9:30 a.m. while the women’s 800m final is slated for 3:30 p.m. and the men’s 400m at 6:20 p.m.

ESPN+ will stream the championships live starting at 9:15 a.m. Friday and at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15. There will be a re-air of the championships at 7 p.m. Sunday on ESPNU.

Campre earned his way into the championships after scoring 5,777 points at the ACC Indoor Championships as Strader posted the 12th-fastest time in the 400m nationally with a school-record time of 45.74.

Grissom, the school record holder in the 800m, earned her way into the field with a time of 2:01.60.
