
Three Swimmers Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Three swimmers from the University of Miami were announced as qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Wednesday.
Senior Giulia Carvalho and freshmen Ashlyn Massey and Simoné Moll all punched their tickets to the championships, which will be held March 19-22 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington. Washington State will serve as the host for the event.
Carvalho qualified with several impressive times over the course of the season. The Brazil native is seeded seventh in the 100-yard butterfly (50.91), 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (21.69) and 19th in the 100-yard freestyle (47.78). 2025 will mark Carvalho’s second career trip to the NCAA Championships.
Massey’s time of 1:54.83 in the 200-yard butterfly earned her the 19th seed for her first trip to the NCAA postseason, where she will also compete in the 100-yard butterfly. Her season-best time in the 100-yard butterfly was 51.92.
Also making her NCAA Championships debut, Moll will be seeded 37th in the 100-yard breaststroke after posting a time of 59.51 earlier this season. She will also swim the 200-yard breaststroke, with a season-best time of 2:12.35.
Divers will be determined by performances achieved at the Zone Diving Championships held March 9-15.
