Miami Signs Two-Time DII All-American Stella Jelinek

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head golf coach Janice Olivencia announced Monday morning the signing of Stella Jelinek for the 2025-26 season.

A native of Leimen, Germany, Jelinek will join the Hurricanes after spending the previous three seasons at Flagler College.

A two-time All-American and conference player of the year, Stella is one of the most accomplished athletes to come out of Division II,” Olivencia said. “She will be a rapid force at this level and will bring an edge of competitiveness and fieriness to our culture.”

Jelinek is a two-time WGCA Division II All-American, having earned first team honors in 2024 and second team honors in 2023. She is the back-to-back reigning Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year (2023, 2024) and was named PBC Freshman of the Year in 2023.

In three seasons at Flagler, Jelinek has tallied six individual tournament titles, including the 2024 PBC Tournament crown, and 19 top-five finishes. She finished 10th or higher in 20 of the 26 events she competed in as a Saint.

Jelinek recorded 36 rounds of par or better at Flagler and posted a career scoring average of 72.7.

“I’m very excited to watch Stella bring excitement and depth to our team, which will continue to elevate our program,” Olivencia said. “We are thrilled to welcome Stella to Coral Gables.”
