Ward's Trip to the 2024 Heisman Trophy Ceremony

NEW YORK CITY — University of Miami quarterback Cam Ward represented the Miami Hurricanes at the 2024 Heisman Trophy ceremony, the 90th anniversary celebration of the most prestigious award in college football.

Ward, who finished fourth in Heisman Trophy voting, was joined by his family, head coach Mario Cristobal, offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, and other members of the University of Miami community at the Jazz at Lincoln Center for the evening’s festivities.

Ward was the first Hurricane finalist since 2002 and only the eighth in program history. Past winners of the event, including Miami alum and 1992 Heisman Trophy winner Gino Torretta, took part in the showcase for college football’s top honor.

The weekend trip to New York concluded an eventful week for Ward, who was named the winner of the 2024 Davey O’Brien Award honoring the nation’s top quarterback on Thursday evening as part of The Home Depot College Football Awards show.
