Hurricanes Travel to FAU Invitational to Kick off Cross Country Season

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami cross country team is set to open their season at the FAU Invitational at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Fla., Friday evening.

Races will begin promptly at 6:15 p.m. with the men’s 5K with the women’s 5K beginning immediately after.

For those wanting to keep track of the race, Mogo Timing will be the invitational’s official timekeeper; results can be found on their website HERE.

The Hurricanes return several key runners, including junior Enrique Borrego, senior Austen Cannon, sophomore Maddie Scheier, and senior Daphnee Lavassas.

Following the FAU Invitational, the Hurricanes will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete at the FSU Invitational on September 27.
