Byrne Named to CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami golfer Sara Byrne was named to the 2024 Academic All-District At-Large Team, as announced by College Sports Communicators Tuesday afternoon.

The Academic All-District team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.

Byrne, who graduated in May with a bachelor’s in accounting and a minor in finance, finished her collegiate studies with a 3.825 GPA. She posted a 3.8 GPA in the spring of 2024, earning a place on the Provost’s Honor Roll (3.75+ GPA).

The Ireland native was named a WGCA Second Team All-American this month and earned Golfweek Third Team All-America honors. Byrne was tabbed to the 2024 All-ACC Team and was a two-time ACC Golfer of the Month honoree.

Byrne will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. NCAA At-Large Academic All-America® First-, second- and third-team honorees will be announced on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
