Miami Soccer Announces 2024 Slate

Miami Soccer Announces 2024 Slate

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami head soccer coach Ken Masuhr officially announced the team’s schedule for the 2024 season Friday.

Miami’s slate features 16 matches including nine at Cobb Stadium, with the Canes taking on six opponents that appeared in last year’s NCAA Championship. Three of last year’s NCAA Final Four participants in Clemson, Florida State and Stanford are also featured in this year’s schedule.

“We are thrilled to bring several high-profile teams to Coral Gables and Cobb Stadium this fall,” Masuhr said. “Our non-conference slate will test us in various ways by teams that have very different playing styles, which will help us prepare for ACC play in September. I am looking forward to coaching the 27th version of our program and the first with our staff leading the charge. Go Canes!”

Preseason
UM plays two exhibitions as the Canes go to FGCU August 4 and UCF August 10.

Non-Conference Stretch
Miami officially starts the season against in-state opponent North Florida, hosting the Ospreys August 15. The match with UNF marks the second-straight season UM has opened the year against an ASUN opponent after going to Stetson August 17 of last year.

The Hurricanes play their first official road game of the year just up the road at FAU August 18 before catching a flight to New Jersey to play Ivy League opponent Princeton August 24.

UM begins a six-match homestand by hosting a Southeastern Conference opponent for the second-straight year when Missouri comes to Coral Gables August 29. The Canes host FIU September 1 and Southeastern Louisiana September 5.

Six-Match September, Coast-to-Coast Travel
A home match against Virginia September 12 begins Atlantic Coast Conference competition. From September 19 to September 29, Miami plays all three ACC newcomers, beginning with SMU at home September 19.

Miami goes from coast to coast, playing at national runner-up Stanford September 26 and at California September 29.

Three at Home, Three on the Road
An important stretch in October concludes the regular season, starting with Virginia Tech at home October 3. UM will get a nine-day break between matches, its longest of the season, before going to Clemson October 12.

Pitt comes to Coral Gables October 17 before the Canes hit the road a week later for the start of a two-match road swing at Syracuse October 24. The final road match of the regular season will be a noon kickoff at Boston College October 27.

A rivalry match with Florida State on Halloween night wraps up the regular season.
