Brandon Jaijairam Joins Women's Basketball as Video Coordinator

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami women’s basketball announced Wednesday that it has hired Brandon Jaijairam as video coordinator.

Jaijairam most recently served in the same role at the University of South Florida. He worked as a student manager, graduate assistant, coordinator of basketball operations and video coordinator for the Bulls over six years in Tampa.

As USF’s video coordinator, Jaijairam aided in scouting reports, game plans and film analysis and also helped in on-court player development. In this position he was heavily involved in breaking down scouts and providing post-game improvement clips. Prior to that role, Jaijairam handled a variety of duties as coordinator of basketball operations, aiding in film, meals, recruiting mail-outs, community service, ticketing operations and team camps.

“We’re thankful that Brandon is joining our staff as video coordinator,” head coach Tricia Cullop said. “Brandon brings in a great skillset and work ethic displayed in all that he did at South Florida and he will be a valuable asset to our team.”

As a graduate assistant Jaijairam organized and entered plays into Fast Scout in addition to a number of other duties. In addition, he produced graphics for the Bulls’ recruiting platforms and aided the video coordinator with the breakdown of film, scouting reports, player personnel, postgame evaluation and grading. During his undergraduate years, Jaijairam served for two seasons as a manager, assisting with practice preparation and operations. He also oversaw and managed the team’s video exchange program and equipment when on the road.

Jaijairam, whose family hails from Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana, was born in Hollywood, Fla., and attended Chaminade-Madonna College Prep where he was a four-year starter on the basketball team. He earned MVP honors and guided the Lions to a district title and regional appearance in high school.

Jaijairam started his collegiate career at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. He would transfer to USF and graduate in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. A year later he earned his master’s degree in physical education.
