Darrione Rogers Signs With Miami Women’s Basketball
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Miami women’s basketball is excited to announce the signing of sharpshooter Darrione Rogers, a transfer from Mississippi State. Rogers has scored 1,399 points across 125 games for her collegiate career, turning in three seasons at DePaul before spending last season in Starkville.
“Darrione is a welcomed addition to our program,” head coach Tricia Cullop said. “She’s a high-level scorer and versatile perimeter player. She possesses an impressive basketball IQ and is a terrific leader and teammate. I also love the extensive experience she brings to our roster.”
Rogers has drained 234 three-pointers for her collegiate tenure, shooting over 35 percent across four seasons. As a junior at DePaul, Rogers averaged 16.8 points per game while grabbing 4.7 rebounds per contest.
Last season she played in a team-high 36 games for Mississippi State, logging 22.7 minutes per game while tallying 8.1 points per contest. Rogers scored in double figures 14 times a year ago, reaching 22 points on a pair of occasions including a late-season effort against Missouri.
The Chicago, Ill., native was the No. 19 transfer recruit in the nation per ESPN coming out of DePaul. While in Lincoln Park she earned 2023 All-Big East Second Team and 2021 Big East All-Freshman honors.
She had a star-studded high school career, scoring over 2,000 points as a MaxPreps All-American honorable mention out of Lake Park West High School.
