Ingraham and Robinson Shine at LSU and Mt. SAC
BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Miami track and field team competed in the 2024 LSU Alumni Gold meet Saturday.
Milton Ingraham II, the school record holder in the men’s discus, threw 60.95m (199 feet, 11 inches) for a second-place finish.
In five appearances this outdoor season, Ingraham II has placed either first or second, notching three wins total.
UNLV transfer Deisiane Teixeira registered a third-place finish in her signature event, the women’s javelin. A native of San Paulo, Brazil, Teixeira ended with a mark of 48.45m (158 feet, 11 inches) to claim the bronze.
In California, at the 64th Annual Mt. SAC Relays, Miami triple jumper Russell Robinson competed against the world’s best in the men’s elite triple jump division. Robinson’s 16.38m (53 feet, 9 inches) leap was good for a third-place finish.
Sprinter Makenzy Pierre-Webster clocked 23.19 (+2.7) in the women’s 200m, a time that ranks Pierre-Webster 27 in the NCAA and sixth at the LSU Alumni Gold meet.
Next week, the Hurricanes will reunite and travel to Jacksonville, Fla. for the UNF East Coast Relays on April 26 and 27.
