CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s swimming team cruised to a pair of wins on Senior Day at the Whitten Pool Tuesday.
Miami topped Vanderbilt, 191-70, and beat Iowa, 168-93, in its final home meet of the season.
Six student-athletes were honored in pre-meet festivities and helped set the tone for a dominant day for the host Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes’ top entry in the 200-yard medley relay won the opening event in a time of 1:42.70, and wins from two seniors – Adrianna Cera in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:15.59) and Savannah Barr in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.20) gave Miami early momentum.
