Hurricanes Set Sights on Cross-Country South Regional

­­GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Miami cross-country team will travel to Gainesville, Florida Friday morning to compete at the NCAA Cross-Country South Regional.

The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET for the women’s 6K and 9:30 a.m. for the men’s 10K event.

The final course before the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will take place at the Mark Bostick Golf Course at the University of Florida. A detailed diagram of Friday morning’s route be found HERE.

PrimeTime Timing will be keeping track of the race results for both men’s and women’s races. Participating runners and their live results can be found HERE.

Those looking to watch the action of the south regional will be able to livestream the event on the RunningLane YouTube page, which can also be found HERE.

Junior Daphnee Lavassas is the runner to watch for the Hurricanes as the Miami, Florida, native earned a time of 20:24.6 at the ACC Cross Country Championships two weeks ago in Tallahassee, good for 28th out of 132 runners.
