2023 Soccer Schedule Announced

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — University of Miami head soccer coach Sarah Barnes released the team’s schedule for the 2023 season Friday.

The Hurricanes’ slated is highlighted by eight matches at Cobb Stadium and nine contests against programs that reached the NCAA Championship a year ago.

Miami kicks off its campaign with seven consecutive non-conference tilts, beginning at Stetson on Aug. 17 (5 p.m.).

The Hurricanes’ open at home versus FAU on Aug. 20 (6 p.m.) before hosting rival Florida on Aug. 24 (6 p.m.). The Sunshine State showdown will mark the first meeting between the two sides since the Canes chomped the Gators in overtime in 2021.

Barnes’ club wraps up its first of two three-match homestands, clashing with Georgia Southern on Aug. 27 (1 p.m.).

After posting a 1-0 win over eventual College Cup participant Alabama in 2022, the Hurricanes clash with the Crimson Tide on Aug. 31 (7 p.m.) before traveling to Mississippi State on Sept. 3 (12 p.m.).

Miami concludes non-conference play at crosstown foe FIU on Sept. 7 (7 p.m.).

The Hurricanes start ACC action with a trio of tilts in Coral Gables against Syracuse on Sept. 15 (6 p.m.), Clemson on Sept. 21 (6 p.m.) and Louisville on Sept. 24 (12 p.m.).

Miami hits the road for a three-match swing at Florida State on Sept. 29 (7 p.m.), North Carolina on Oct. 5 (7 p.m.) and Notre Dame on Oct. 8 (1 p.m.).

Six days later, the Canes welcome NC State to Cobb Stadium on Oct. 14 (6 p.m.).

The Hurricanes are set to close the 2023 regular season with three contests in seven days.

Miami faces Virginia on Oct. 19 (7 p.m.) and Virginia Tech on Oct. 22 (3 p.m.) in the Old Dominion State before capping off its slate with Senior Day on Oct. 26 (6 p.m.) against Wake Forest.

Meanwhile, the 2023 ACC Women’s Soccer Championship will run from Oct. 29 – Nov. 5 and the NCAA Championship is slated for Nov. 10 – Dec. 4.
