Byrne Starts off Strong on Day One of the NCAA Regionals
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – On Monday, Miami sophomore Sara Byrne competed in the first round of the NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional.
In a field of 66 individual competitors, Byrne placed tied for second place at the conclusion of day one.
On day one, Byrne shot an 18-hole score of 70 (-2) at the par-72, 6,315-yard PGA National Resort.
Byrne earned herself another round of under-par, marking her 16th round of par-or-better this season.
The NCAA Palm Beach Gardens Regional is being hosted by the PGA National Resort, with Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach County Sports Commission serving as co-hosts.
The second round begins tomorrow morning at the PGA National Resort.
