Hurricanes Sweep ACC Performer of the Week Honors

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Four members of The University of Miami Track and Field team have earned ACC Performer of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday.

Freshman sprinter Sanaa Hebron, junior jumper Russell Robinson, junior jumper Ashley Moore, and senior hurdler Sincere Rhea have all been named ACC Performers of the Week.

Sanaa Hebron continues her impressive performance in the 400m hurdles, earning a time of 56.28 this past Saturday at Cobb Stadium. This time is ranked fifth in the nation and places Hebron in the program history books at number five in the event. A top five list that has not been broken into in eleven years.

Junior Russell Robinson achieved the number one distance in the nation Saturday night at Cobb Stadium in the triple jump. His distance of 16.73m, which was achieved on a twelve-step approach, places Robinson at number one in the Miami record books for the men’s outdoor triple jump. After this performance, Robinson now holds the program record in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump.

Junior Ashley Moore placed first at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational Saturday in the women’s long jump. Posting a distance of 6.22m. This is a new personal best for Moore and earns her women’s field performer of the week honors by the conference.

Senior Sincere Rhea also placed first at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, posting a personal best of 13.74 in the men’s 110m hurdles. This time currently ranks 15th in the nation and puts Rhea tied for fourth in the Miami program record books.
