Miami Maintains Top-50 Position in ITA Rankings
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team maintained its position in the ITA top-50, checking in at No. 46 in this week’s ITA rankings, as announced Tuesday morning.
Miami (10-6, 2-4 ACC) had the weekend off from tennis action but enters the week on a two-match winning streak.
The Hurricanes recorded their first top-50 victories of the season earlier this month, defeating No. 43 Notre Dame, 4-3, and taking down No. 29 Louisville, 4-1, at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
Miami has appeared in the ITA top-60 for nine straight weeks, ascending as high as No. 42 this season.
All 12 ACC teams are ranked in the top 75, including seven in the top 40, six in the top 25 and two in the top 15. Miami is featured alongside seventh-ranked Virginia, No. 13 North Carolina, No. 16, Wake Forest, No. 17 Florida State, No. 21 Duke, No. 23 NC State, No. 35 Louisville, No. 55 Clemson, No. 56 Notre Dame and No. 71 Georgia Tech.

Miami returns to action on Wednesday when it takes on Drexel in the Hurricanes’ final non-conference match of the season. First serve at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center is set for 3 p.m.
The Hurricanes will then head to Hard Rock Stadium on Friday to host the Clemson Tigers at 3 p.m. as part of the Miami Open programming.
