Bolden Named ACC Defensive Back of the Week
CORAL GABLES, Fla. — For the second time this season, redshirt junior safety Bubba Bolden was recognized for an outstanding performance as the ACC’s Defensive Back of the Week.
Bolden was honored by the conference after posting a game-high 10 tackles in Miami’s loss at No. 1 Clemson. Bolden, who blocked two field goals by the Tigers and added a forced fumble, was also named ACC Defensive Back of the Week after Miami’s win at Louisville.
Bolden’s selection marks the fourth straight game where at least one Hurricane has been selected; OL Corey Gaynor (UAB), QB D’Eriq King (Louisville, Florida State) and K Jose Borregales (Louisville) have also been honored by conference this fall.
The Hurricanes (3-1, 2-1 ACC) host Pittsburgh (3-2, 2-2 ACC) for a matchup at Hard Rock Stadium on Sat., Oct. 17. Kickoff is slated for noon on the ACC Network.
