Mompremier Posts Career Game on Sunday
Three of the best players to come through The U, Shenise Johnson (’12), Beatrice Mompremier (’20) and Riquna Williams (’12) are working their way through the WNBA bubble this season.
Shenise Johnson, Minnesota Lynx
- Averaging 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists this season
- Paces the Lynx in free throw shooting at a .941 clip from the charity stripe this season
- Saw four minutes of action against Atlanta on Aug. 28
- Totaled six points and five rebounds, while playing 10 minutes against Phoenix on Aug. 30
- Shot 3-of-6 from the field with seven points, an assist and a steal in Minnesota’s victory over Los Angeles on Aug. 31
- Missed five games with a hamstring injury
Beatrice Mompremier, Connecticut Sun
- Averaging 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game in her rookie campaign
- Ranks third on the Sun in blocks (0.4) and fourth in rebounding (2.3)
- Tallied four points, three rebounds and a block against Los Angeles on Aug. 28
- Tied her season highs in points (seven) and minutes (17) against Washington on Aug. 30, while setting a new season high in rebounds at six.

- Averaging 10.7 points, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game this season, shooting the best field goal percentage of her career at .458
- Tied for third on the team in steals (1.2) and blocks (0.3) per game and ranks fourth in 3-point field goal percentage (.453) and scoring (10.7)
- Saw 11 minutes of action against Connecticut on Aug. 28
- Recorded nine points on 4-of-10 shooting to go along with an assist, a steal and a block in the Sparks’ victory over Atlanta on Aug. 30
- Notched her ninth double-digit game of the season on Aug. 31, pouring in 11 points and shooting 3-of-5 from distance against Minnesota
