Gray to Participate in USA Basketball Women’s National Team Training Camp

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami women’s basketball player Mykea Gray has been invited to participate in the 2019-20 USA Basketball Women’s National Team training camp. Gray is one of six collegiate athletes to receive an invitation to practice with the team.
 
The training camp, which features 19 athletes from the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), will take place September 17-19 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla.
 
The U.S. will practice for approximately two hours a day, starting at 10 a.m. (all times EDT) at the Watsco Center practice gym before traveling to Puerto Rico for the AmeriCup, which was previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship.
 
Gray is coming off a sophomore season during which she led all Miami guards in scoring (12.6) and ranked second on the team in made threes (61). The Maryland native started all 34 contests for the Hurricanes and scored in double-figures in 22 of those 34 outings.
