Golf Finishes 10th at Bryan National Collegiate
CORAL GABLES, Fla. â The No. 18 University of Miami women’s golf team finished strong Saturday in tough conditions at the Bryan National Collegiate, firing its best round of the weekend with a 15-over 303 as it moved up to take 10th place in the challenging field. After a tough day Friday, the Hurricanes bounced back and recorded the second-best round of any team in the field Saturday, moving up four spots in the standings as they finished with a 54-hole total of 917 (+53).

The tournament was contested at the par-72, 6,386-yard Bryan Park Champions Course in Browns Summit, N.C., and played in cold, rainy conditions Saturday.

“They played great today considering the weather conditions today,” Miami head coach Patti Rizzo said. “I’m very proud of all of them. We made a nice move back up the leaderboard and finished strong.”

Ranked No. 19 nationally, Dewi Weber finished in 12th place at 8-over 224 after carding a 76 Saturday. Renate Grimstad paced Miami Saturday with a 2-over 74 and finished in a 32nd-place tie at 12-over 228. Macarena Aguilera recorded a 3-over 75 Saturday and tied for 45th place with a score of 231 (+15), while Kristyna Frydlova scored a 6-over 78 Saturday to finish in a 55th-place tie at 234 (+18).
