Meier and Davenport Set for ACC Media Day
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Head coach Katie Meier and senior forward/center Erykah Davenport will represent the University of Miami Thursday at the 2017 ACC Women’s Basketball Media Day.
Held at The Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., the event features the head coach and one to two student-athletes from all 15 conference institutions.
Miami will be among the seven schools participating in the morning session, which starts at 9:30 a.m., along with Duke, Florida State, Louisville, NC State, Syracuse and Wake Forest. The session will be preceded by remarks from ACC Senior Associate Commissioner Nora Lyn Finch from 9-9:25 a.m.
Throughout the morning Meier and Davenport with cycle through eight-different interview segments, including ones with ESPN, FOX Sports South and Raycom. Their rotations will conclude at 11:53 a.m.
From 10:24-10:41 a.m., the pair will be in the press conference room, which will have a live broadcast available on ACC Network Extra HERE, beginning with Finch’s opening comments.
This marks the first time Davenport will represent Miami at ACC Women’s Basketball Media Day. Last year, Meier was joined by then-senior guards Adrienne Motley and Jessica Thomas.
