@HurricanesGolf Remains in Contention at Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – The No. 11-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team is tied for third with Oklahoma State as it heads into the final round of play at the 2017 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship.

The Hurricanes posted a team score of 296 and own a two-day score of 583. No. 1-ranked Stanford leads the tournament field after two days following its second round total of 278. The Cardinal owns a two-day total of 571.

Sophomore Dewi Weber, freshman Filippa Moork and freshman Macarena Aguilera each carded second round scores of one-over-par, 73. 

Weber leads all Hurricane individuals as she is tied for fifth with a two-round total of 141, heading into the final round of play. Moork and Aguilera are both tied for 25th with two-round tallies of 146.

Stanford’s Casey Danielson leads all individuals with a two-round total of 139.

The three-day event is being held at the par 72, 6,239-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club.
