@HurricanesGolf Finishes Seventh at Jim West Challenge

TOERNE, Texas – The University of Miami women’s golf team concluded competition at the 2015 Jim West Challenge Tuesday afternoon and finished seventh with a three-round total of 878 (+14).
 
The Hurricanes posted a final round team score of 297 (+9). The three-day event was held at the par 72, 6,373-yard Tapatio Spring Golf Resort.
 
Junior Daniela Darquea paced the way for Miami as she tied for fifth with a three-round total of 213. Darquea posted a final day score of one-under-par, 71. Her final round featured three birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and an even par finish on the back nine.
 
Classmate Delfina Acosta also finished final round play on a high note as she tallied five birdies en route to a one-under-par score of 71. The Miami junior finished the tournament with a three-round total 217 and tied for 14th.
 
Kent State University won the team title as it posted a three-day total of 852 (-12).
 
Miami returns to action on Monday, Oct. 19 at the 2015 Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas. The Hurricanes trip to Austin will mark their final tournament of the fall campaign.
