CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami soccer team will be looking for its second road win in a row when it heads northwest to play FGCU Friday night.

The Hurricanes will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. at FGCU Soccer Complex in Fort Myers, Fla. in the last of three-straight road matches.

The last time Miami and FGCU met in Fort Myers was Sept. 6, 2011 and the Hurricanes won 2-1 in double overtime behind a brace from Tara Schwitter.

Miami (1-4-0) is coming off a stellar effort in a 2-0 win at Jacksonville Sunday. The Hurricanes outshot the Dolphins 27-5 and had a 10-3 edge in shots on goal. Senior forward Amy Schmidt had both goals in the victory, while senior midfielder/defender Natalie Moik assisted on both of them.

Freshman midfielder Ainsly Wolfinbarger also logged an assist at Jacksonville in her first career start, while redshirt freshman goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce played all 90 minutes in the first win and shutout of her career.

FGCU (3-2-1) has lost back-to-back matches by one goal each, but enters the contest against the Hurricanes with a .500 record on the season. The Eagles went 17-4-0 (7-0 A-Sun) last year and reached the NCAA Championship.
