@MiamiHurricanes Release 2014 Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami Hurricanes released their 2014 football schedule Wednesday. Miami’s slate is highlighted by seven home games at Sun Life Stadium and a rematch of the 2013 Russell Athletic Bowl at Louisville in the season opener. Miami’s season opener will kick at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Miami finished the 2013 season 9-4 and earned a berth in the Russell Athletic Bowl, a 36-9 loss to the Cardinals, who will join the ACC on July 1.
Miami’s home slate includes nonconference opponents Florida A&M (Sept. 6), Arkansas State (Sept. 13) and Cincinnati (Oct. 11). The Hurricanes will host ACC rivals Duke (Sept. 27), North Carolina (Nov. 1), Florida State (Nov. 15) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 29).
The Canes will have five road games in 2014 – Louisville (Sept. 1), Nebraska (Sept. 20), Georgia Tech (Oct. 4), Virginia Tech (Oct. 23) and Virginia (Nov. 22). Miami’s game at Louisville will be on Labor Day night, while its game against the Hokies will be on Thursday night.
