FOX Sports South to Televise Four WBB Games
ATLANTA – FOX Sports South and SportSouth announced their 2012-13 college basketball telecast schedule, featuring men’s and women’s games from many of the best conferences in the country including the Atlantic Coast Conference, Southeastern Conference, Conference USA, Big 12 and Pac-12.
The University of Miami women’s basketball team will be featured in four of the station’s telecasts. The four games include a lone home game against Virginia on Jan. 6 and road contests at Florida State (Jan. 13), Wake Forest (Jan. 24) and Georgia Tech (Feb. 24).
In all, the Canes will be televised on nine occasions.
Miami’s season opens with a home exhibition on Monday, Nov. 5 at 7:05 p.m. against Nova Southeastern.
UM’s 40-game home win-streak – the nation’s second longest – will first be put to the test in the regular season opener at the BankUnited Center on Friday, Nov. 9 against in-state foe North Florida.
The Hurricanes’ general admission season ticket prices remain at just $50, while reserved courtside seats are available for only $75.
Katie Meier’s Canes welcome 18 teams to the BankUnited Center this upcoming season. That’s less than $3 per game! Traditional ACC powers Duke and North Carolina, in addition to national staples Tennessee and Penn State will pay a visit to Coral Gables.
