Harris Inks Free-Agent Contract With Eagles

May 11, 2012

PHILADELPHIA–The Philadelphia Eagles today announced that they have signed Hurricane quarterback Jacory Harris to a rookie free-agent contract.

The three-year starter finished his senior campaign with a single-season program record for passing accuracy with a 65-percent success rate (195-for-300) and recorded the third-best passer efficiency rating in the conference at 158.2. Harris ended his career ranked second in Miami history in passing yards (8,826) and touchdowns (70) behind Ken Dorsey.

Harris joins ProCanes Brandon Washington, who was drafted in the sixth round by the Eagles, free agent Chase Ford and 2011 free agent Graig Cooper at this weekend’s rookie mini-camp.

Harris’ addition puts the Eagles at their 90-man roster limit.
