CORAL GABLES, Fla. – In its final regular season contest, the University of Miami will honor its most successful senior class prior to the 1 p.m tip-off against Boston College on Sunday. Shenise Johnson, Riquna Williams and Sylvia Bullock have helped turn around a program that was at the bottom of the ACC stading into the National Title contender it is today. The trio has littered the record books, each ranks among the Top 5 in program history in games played and Johnson and Williams became the school’s fourth and fifth women to score 2,000 career points and are the only teammates in the naiton to reach that milestone this season. Bullock’s 40 blocks so far this season rank among the Top 10 and her 116 career blocks ranks fourth all-time at Miami. More to Come Protecting the BankUnited Center Miami has extended that record to 39 games after its 67-60 victory over Rival Florida State on Feb. 19. The streak is currently the second-longest active streak in the nation, behind only Stanford (76). The streak began with the team’s final regular season home game of the 2009-10 season and continued with a perfect 20-0 home record last season. The previous record of 24 straight wins at home was set from the 1990-91 through the 1992-93 seasons.
