Frank Haith Steps Down as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Miami

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Frank Haith resigned from his post as head coach at the University of Miami on Monday afternoon.

UM will begin a national search immediately, under the direction of Acting Director of Athletics Tony Hernandez.

Miami finished the 2010-11 campaign with a loss to Alabama in the third round of the NIT and a 21-15 overall record. The ‘Canes will lose forward and three-point specialist Adrian Thomas to graduation but are expecting the rest of their roster to return. In addition, two transfers, 6-11 Kenny Kadji (Florida) and 6-5 sharp-shooter Trey McKinney-Jones (Missouri-Kansas City) will be eligible to play for the Hurricanes in 2011-12.
