COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Devon Hill placed third in the finals of the 60m hurdles at the 2011 NCAA Indoor National Championships Saturday at Texas A&M’s Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium.

The Trenton, N.J. native once again broke his own school record with his 6.67 second performance – .04 seconds faster than his previous record.

On Friday, Hill automatically qualified for the finals after he won the first of three preliminary heats with a time of 7.75 seconds.

Earlier this season, Hill won an ACC championship in the 60m hurdles, beating the field in Blacksburg, Va. in 7.76 seconds.

The third place finish, guarantees Hill an All-America honor – the first since Mikese Morse in 2009.

Miami will open their outdoor season March 18 and 19 when it hosts the Hurricane Invitational at Cobb Stadium.
