Ronderos, Hirano Sisters Lead Women's Golf on Day 1

LEXINGTON, K.Y. – –
Juniors Christina Hirano, Maria Ronderos and Jennifer Hirano each shot five-over par 77 to lead the University of Miami women’s golf team Friday on day one of the Bettie Lou Evans Fall Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky.
Florida State (298) leads the event followed by UCF (301) and Coastal Carolina (301) who are currently tied for second. Texas State (302) and Chattanooga (303) round out the top five. Miami shot 313 leaving them 10 strokes out of the top five.
Christina Hirano, Ronderos and Jennifer Hirano are all tied for 28th. Christina Hirano birdied three times and shot 36 on the back nine Friday. Ronderos had a 37 on the front nine while Jennifer Hirano shot 39 on the front side and 38 on the back nine.
Freshman Shelby Gilbert shot 82 and Melanie Kleiner shot 88 rounding out Miami’s five.
The Hurricanes will continue play in the Bettie Lou Evans Fall Invitational Saturday morning with an 8:30 a,m, shotgun start.
