Beasley's 560 WQAM and UM Renew Contract

Coral Gables, Fla. – 560 WQAM Sports Radio and University of Miami are pleased to announce an extension of their radio agreement. The agreement gives WQAM-AM exclusive English language radio rights in the South Florida market for the next five years – through the 2012-2013 athletic year.

WQAM’s Hurricanes programming includes football, men’s basketball and baseball games as well as the weekly “Hurricane Hotline” which airs throughout the length of the sports season. In addition, the station has a heavy presence of UM content on it’s website at www.wqam.com.

Commenting on the agreement, Kirby Hocutt, UM Athletic Director, said, “We are pleased to continue our relationship with WQAM. Throughout the years, WQAM has always presented University of Miami athletics programming in a professional manner and been an excellent partner.”

“WQAM has been the flagship of UM since 1999, and we’re proud to be their partner as they move to their new football home this year, Dolphin Stadium” said WQAM General Manager, Joe Bell.
