Miami is coming off a 50-45 loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, their fourth consecutive loss. In the WakeForest loss Maurita Reid led the Hurricanes with 15 points.  Also, all ten players that participated for Miami, scored at least one field goal.

The `Canes look to break their streak and get a measure of revenge on the Seminoles who won in the teams previous meeting, where FSU took a 75-70 overtime win at the BankUnited Center.

A Look at FloridaState

Florida State is coming off a heart-breaking 92-84 overtime loss to the No. 4 Maryland Terrapins.  Junior guard Mara Freshour was one of five `Noles to score in double-figures in the game, leading her team with 23 points.  The overtime loss was the third such loss on the year for FSU, previously falling to Georgia and Virginia in the extra period.  Their lone overtime win came at the BankUnitedCenter on Jan. 24.

The Series

The Hurricanes are 7-25 all-time against the Seminoles.  Earlier this season the two teams met at the BankUnitedCenter and FloridaState came out the victor in the 75-70 overtime game.

Since joining the ACC the `Canes have won only once in seven meetings, Jan. 27, 2005 in Coral Gables.
