Hurricanes Conclude Second Round at Wildcat Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Freshman Christina Hirano shot an even par, 72 to move into a tie for 11th place on the individual leaderboard Sunday to lead the University of Miami women’s golf team through the second round of the 2007 Wildcat Invitational.

After two rounds, Hirano (77-72) sits at five-over-par with a two-day total 149 while senior Jessica Steward (74-77) is tied for 17th with a total 151.

Collectively, the Hurricanes – playing with only four players following a withdraw by junior Anabelle Paulino – are in 10th place with a 630.

Freshman Maria Ronderos (82-82–164) is in 61st place after two rounds followed by senior Hagen Weintraub (84-82–166) who sits in 64th place.

The third and final round of the Wildcat Invitational will take place Monday at the University Club of Kentucky.
