Steinbruch helped the Hurricanes remain unbeaten in their opening weekend of play on the road. Steinbruch netted Miami’s first goal of the season in a 1-1 double-overtime tie at Ole Miss Friday, August 31 and then recorded her first collegiate hat trick in an 8-0 rout of Alabama A&M in Oxford, Miss. on Sunday, September 2. After the first weekend of action, the freshman leads the ACC in goals per game (2.0) and and is tied for first in points per game (4.0). A heralded player out of Ramapo High School, Steinbruch played with the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team in the spring and was a two-time New Jersey Player of the Year.
