Hurricanes Go Down to Kansas in the Academy Sports Invitational

Tuscaloosa, Ala. – The University of Miami women’s volleyball team lost to Kansas 3-1 Saturday afternoon at the Coleman Coliseum in the Academy Sports Invitational.
In their first ever meeting in the schools’ history, Miami defeated the Jayhawks 30-23, led by senior Francheska Savage in game one. But Kansas battled back to defeat the hurricanes in the final three games (28-30, 25-30, 23-30).
Savage led Miami with 21 kills and 10 digs, while senior Ann Gallo added 25 digs.
The Hurricanes close out the Academy Sports Invitational against Alabama A&M at 5:30 p.m. today (EST). Alabama A&M lost to Kansas 3-0 yesterday.
