Hurricanes Complete First Day at the Duke Invite

Durham, N.C. (hurricanesports.com) – The University of Miami men’s track and field team finished the first day of competition at the Duke Invitational. Charles Johnson (Milwaukee, Wisc.) broke a nearly ten year old school record in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.74 (156-07). Charles finished 12th in the event.

Zach Castigilione (Brighton, Mich.) won his heat of the 5000-meter finishing in 15:07.46. He finished 35th overall in the event.
