Senior guard Melissa Knight ranks second on the team and ninth in the ACC in points per game (14.7) followed by junior Renee Taylor, who’s averaging 14.3 points per game.The Patriots After dropping two games last weekend at the Duke Classic in Durham, N.C., the Patriots are 2-2 heading into Coral Gables. George Mason is led by a trio of players averaging double digit scoring in junior forward Tracy Holness (12.8 ppg), senior guard Jen Daniels (12.5 ppg) and sophomore forward Moni Akintunde (11.3 ppg). Akintunde tops the GUM roster with 8.5 rebounds per game.The Series Wednesday’s game will mark just the second meeting between the Hurricanes and the Patriots.
