Hurricanes Host EA Sports in Exhibition Finale

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s basketball team will host EA Sports in the final exhibition of game of the 2004-05 season Saturday evening at the Convocation Center at 7 p.m.

Prior to Saturday’s final tune-up before the regular season, Head coach Ferne Labati and the Hurricanes downed the Miami Suns 105-59 in their first exhibition game November 3.

Junior All-America candidate Tamara James led UM against the Suns, scoring a team-high 27 points while freshman Albrey Grimsley turned in a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds.

The Hurricanes will open the 2004-05 regular season November 19, hosting Gardner-Webb in the opening game of the Miami Jam at the Convocation Center at 7 p.m.
