Miami Women's Basketball Travels To Face Rutgers

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Miami women’s basketball team will put its four-game BIG EAST road winning streak on the line as it travels to face Rutgers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Louis Brown Athletic Center.
Miami enters the contest 13-6 overall and 5-3 in the BIG EAST, while Rutgers is 12-5 overall and 5-2 in conference.
Rutgers leads the all-time series 10-6. The Hurricanes are on a two-game winning streak over the Scarlet Knights winning the last two meetings.
Rutgers is currently in third place in the BIG EAST standings, while Miami is in a four-way tie for fourth place. With a win over Rutgers head coach Ferne Labati would become the 39th Division I coach to earn 400 career victories. Labati in her 24th season has compiled an overall record of 399-287. She is in her 15th season at Miami with a record of 263-165.
Tamara James continues to lead the Hurricanes averaging 22.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Cappie Pondexter leads Rutgers averaging 16.9 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
