Women's Basketball defeats Rutgers University 65-55 at the Knight Sports Complex.

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – – The University of Miami women’s basketball team extended its winning streak to four with a 65-55 victory over Rutgers Saturday night at the Knight Sports Complex.
The Hurricanes improve to 13-6 (6-3), while BIG EAST opponent Rutgers falls to 6-12 (3-5) on the season.
Sophomore forward Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) led all scorers with 20 points and six rebounds.
Three other Hurricanes scored in double-digits, including sophomore foward Shaquana Wilkins (Plymouth, Fla.) who recorded her fourth double-double on the season with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
Miami senior guard Sheila James (Orlando, Fla.) finished with 13 points and sophomore guard Hutashi Wilson (Toronto, Canada) added 11 points.
Dawn McCullouch led Rutgers with 18 points, including three three-pointers. Davalyn Cunningham contributed 13 points and 7 rebounds.
The Hurricanes shot 46 percent from the field, while Rutgers shot 37 percent.
The Hurricanes will next go on the road to face Villanova Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at 7:30 p.m.
