UM plays host to West Virginia at the Knight Sports Complex.

Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com)-The University of Miami opens BIG EAST play as they host West Virginia University Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7p.m. at the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.
The Hurricanes (3-2) lead the all-time series, 10-1 over the Mountaineers (2-2). UM’s last win over WVU came last season with an 84-68 victory at the Knight Sports Complex. Additionally, the Hurricanes are undefeated at home against WVU.
UM is 5-5 all-time in BIG EAST openers.
Three players are averaging in double-digits for the Hurricanes. Junior forward Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) leads the team with 12.4 points per game, a team-high 18 steals and 19 assists.
Sophomore Hutashi Wilson (Toronto, Canada) follows with 12.0 points per game and 19 assists, while junior Sheila James (Orlando, Fla.) rounds out the top three with 11.8 points per game and 19 assists.
For the Mountaineers, sophomore Kate Bulger leads the team with 17.8 points per game and seven blocks. Three other players are averaging in double-figures for WVU including Sherell Sowho (16.8), Yolanda Paige (12.2) and Brandi Batch (10.6).
