Simmons Out 4-6 Weeks

Coral Gables, FL – University of Miami junior guard Michael Simmons (Los Angeles, CA) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after undergoing surgery Friday to repair a torn labrum in his left hip.

The surgery was performed by Dr. John Zvijac at HealthSouth Doctors’ Hospital in Coral Gables, FL

Simmons started all 29 games last season averaging 2.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
