Women's Basketball Hosts Villanova In Season Finale

CORAL GABLES, FL – The University of Miami women’s basketball team (13-13, 6-9 BIG EAST) will host Villanova (19-7, 10-5 BIG EAST) on Tuesday, February 27 at the Knight Sports Complex on the Coral Gables campus. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
The game marks the final BIG EAST game of the regular season for both schools and the final career home game for senior’s Dalia Clarke, Dona Nando and Camilla Osth.
This is the 17th meeting between the two schools. Miami holds a 9-7 advantage in the series. The Wildcats have won three of the last four meetings.
Villanova is currently in a tie with Virginia Tech for fifth place in conference standings, while Miami is in a four-way tie for seventh place with Syracuse, Georgetown and Boston College.
Most recently, the Hurricanes fell to Syracuse 62-61, on Saturday at Manley Field House in Syracuse. Freshman Chanivia Broussard led the Hurricanes in double figures with 19 points and nine rebounds.
Villanova beat Providence 61-45 Saturday night, senior Brandi Barnes led the Wildcats with 21 points and seven boards.
Broussard who averages 12.8 points per game leads Miami in scoring.
