Women's Basketball Travels To Face Seton Hall

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will travel to take on Seton Hall in a BIG EAST road contest scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Walsh Gymnasium.

The Hurricanes (11-10 overall, 4-6 in the BIG EAST) are currently ranked No. 9 in the BIG EAST standings, while Seton Hall (15-6 overall, 8-2 in the BIG EAST) is ranked No. 3, behind No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Connecticut.

Miami leads the all-time series 11-7, including riding a seven-game win streak over the Pirates into Saturday’s contest. Miami is 3-5 when facing the Pirates in Walsh Gymnasium.

The Hurricanes are on a two-game win streak after defeating West Virginia 84-68 Wednesday night. Sheila James committed her first double-double of the season, scoring 17 points and dishing out 10 assists.

Five UM players scored in double-digits for the first time this season in the win over WVU.

Chanivia Broussard continues to lead the Hurricane offense, averaging 12.5 points per game.

The Pirates are on a three-game win streak, defeating St. John’s 59-54 last Saturday.

Senior guard, Arminda Moreno leads Seton Hall averaging 16.4 points per game.
