Women's Basketball Travels To Face #1 UConn

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will face No. 1 Connecticut for the second time this season as the Hurricanes travel to Storrs, Conn. to face the Huskies in a BIG EAST matchup at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Miami enters the contest 9-7 overall and 2-3 in BIG EAST play, while UConn is 15-1 overall and 5-1 in conference action.
Miami fell 77-53 to the Huskies in UM’s BIG EAST opener on Dec. 5 earlier this season.UConn leads the all-time series 14-5, including a 14-game win streak over Miami.
The Hurricanes are looking to snap a two-game losing streak, after falling 82-75 in overtime to Western Kentucky Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Meghan Saake (Wellington, Fla.) led the Hurricanes in the loss to WKU with a career-high 19 points.
Freshman Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) continues to lead Miami averaging 12.7 points per game.
Svetlana Abrosimova leads the Huskies averaging 13.5 points per game, while Swin Cash follows with 12.4 points per game and 6.9 rebounds per game.
