Women's Basketball Set To Face Western Kentucky

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will take a break from conference action as they play host to Western Kentucky Sunday at 2 p.m. in Knight Sports Complex.

Miami enters the contest 9-6 overall while the Lady Toppers are 11-5 overall.

WKU leads the all-time series with Miami 3-2, including a three-game win streak.

The Hurricanes are coming off a 77-60 loss to BIG EAST opponent Providence Wednesday night.

The Lady Toppers are also coming off of a conference loss to #8 Louisiana Tech (105-47) Thursday night.

Freshman Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) leads the Hurricanes with 12.4 points per game, while teammate Dalia Clarke (Antigua, West Indies) leads the team averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.

Junior Natalie Powers leads WKU averaging 20.9 points per game.

The game will air on Fox SportsNet Monday at 4 p.m.

The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM).
