Women's Basketball Set To Face St. John's

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will wrap up its three game BIG EAST road swing with St. John’s University Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Jamaica, NY.

Miami enters the contest 8-5 overall and 1-2 in the BIG EAST, while St. John’s is 5-8 overall and 0-3 in conference action.

Miami leads the all-time series with St. John’s 12-6.

The Hurricanes are coming off of a 65-59 win over Boston College on Wednesday night. Dalia Clarke (Antigua, West Indies) scored a career-high of 24 points and 13 rebounds in the win over BC.

The Red Storm enters the contest after falling 84-49 to Notre Dame Tuesday night. Rasheedah Brown led SJU in the contest with 17 points and seven rebounds.

Sheila James (Ruboina, Fla.) leads UM with 11.8 points per game, while Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) followes averaging 11.7 points per game.

Brown leads the Red Storm averaging 14.4 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game.

The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM).
