Women's Basketball Faces Radford

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will end its six-game homestand with Radford University Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Knight Sports Complex.

Miami (6-4) enters the game on a two-game win streak, while Radford (5-7) is on a two-game losing skid. This will be the first meeting between the two teams and it also marks the first time Miami will play a member of the Big South conference.

The Hurricanes are coming off of a big weekend in which they defeated New Hampshire (70-61) and Western Michigan (64-51) to earn the Gatorade Holiday Classic title.

Dalia Clarke (Antigua, West Indies) was named MVP of the tournament and Alicia Hartlaub (Schaefferstown, Pa.) was named to the all-tournament team. Clarke led Miami in the tournament, averaging 11 points eight rebounds and 5.5 steals. Hartlaub also averaged 11 points in the tournament.

Radford has not played a game in 16 days, coming off a 92-79 loss to Eastern Kentucky on Dec. 17.

Catrice Horton leads the Highlanders averaging 16.0 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Radford is 1-3 on the road this season, while the Hurricanes are 6-2 at home.

The game will be broadcast live on WVUM (90.5 FM).
