Women's Basketball Will Face Kentucky Tuesday Night

CORAL GABLES, Fla.–The University of Miami women’s basketball team will play host to Kentucky Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Knight Sports Complex.

Miami enters the contest 3-3 overall, while the Wildcats are 3-5 overall.This will be the fifth meeting between the two teams and the first meeting in over 10 years. The last meeting was during the 1989-90 season, UM fell 80-68.

The Wildcats lead the all-time series 4-0.

Both teams are coming off of wins this weekend, Miami defeated South Florida 73-51 Saturday night, and Kentucky edged Florida International 60-58 Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Chanivia Broussard (Miami, Fla.) led the Hurricanes in scoring in the win over USF with 14 points. She now leads the team in scoring averaging 10.6 points per game.

Junior Kathryn Fowler committed the first double-double of the season this weekend with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

SeSe Helm leads the Wildcats in scoring with 13.3 points per game.
